About Eric
Eric Albus is a fourth-generation Hi-Line Montana farmer and rancher with deep roots in the land and community he calls home. He and his wife, Robyn, have been married for 38 years. Robyn owns and operates Robyn’s Nest, a retail store in Glasgow, contributing to the local economy and small-business community.
Eric continues to work the family ranch and farm alongside their son Kyle and Kyle’s wife, Katarina. Family is central to Eric’s life, and he hopes that his two young grandsons, Rus and Ben, will one day carry on the family tradition and work the ranch as well.
Eric served his first term in public office as the Representative for House District 28, where he took pride in advocating for the people of the Hi-Line. He especially valued his work on the Appropriations Committee, Subsection C, where he gained firsthand experience balancing budgets and making responsible decisions with taxpayer dollars.
Toward the end of the legislative session, Eric was encouraged by constituents and several senators to consider running for the State Senate, as the current senator was term-limited. After months of thoughtful deliberation, Eric made the difficult decision to leave the House and run for the Senate. While he greatly enjoyed serving as a representative, he felt called to continue serving his community at a higher level and bring his experience, work ethic, and commitment to the Hi-Line to the State Senate.
